Detachable Game Controller for Smart Mobile Devices

I would like to make a detachable gamepad for smart mobile phones. In recent years, mobile games have been really popular and some of them need precise controlling which is difficult to manipulate on touch screens. There are some existing mobile game controllers but I think they are too similar to traditional video game controllers (two hands control) and are not easy enough to carry.
I got inspiration from Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controllers. It also has both left and right controllers, but they can be used seperately. I think for mobile games, one-side game controller plus touch screen would be enough.
In order to make the project “grey”, I referenced some of the designs of existing mobile controllers, mostly about how they attach to mobile devices. Also, I referenced the appearance of Switch’s controllers and its design of buttons. But I think the who design might be innovative in a way.
