NUMA is a conceptual immersive projection system that transforms elevator interiors into emotionally supportive environments for individuals experiencing claustrophobia and anxiety. Based on clinical insights, exposure therapy principles, and a survey of 317 participants, the project addresses a widely overlooked psychological stressor in everyday urban life. NUMA integrates spatial scanning, projection mapping, and autonomic response-aligned visual environments to regulate breathing, reduce panic symptoms, and restore a sense of spatial orientation. The system features two operational modes, Daily Mode for ambient emotional regulation during routine use and Emergency Mode for full cabin immersion during high stress or power failure situations, positioning emotional well-being as a core component of future public space design.
